What ticko is

ticko is a marketplace connecting event organizers and venues with people who want to attend. For primary sales, the venue or organizer sets the price and is responsible for the event actually happening. ticko facilitates the sale, issues the ticket, and takes a service fee.

Your account

You sign in with your phone number and a one-time code sent by SMS. You're responsible for keeping access to that phone number secure — anyone who can receive your SMS codes can access your account. Tell us immediately if you lose access to your number.

Tickets and refunds

• A ticket is a license to attend, not a transferable financial instrument, except through the resale marketplace described below.
• If an event is cancelled by the organizer, we'll refund the ticket price. Service fees are refunded at our discretion depending on whether we've already paid them out.
• We don't offer refunds for a change of mind. Resell your ticket through the marketplace instead.
• Each ticket carries a unique, time-based code. Screenshotting or sharing it doesn't transfer ownership — only one scan per ticket is honored.

Resale marketplace

You may list a ticket you own for resale, at up to 2x its original face value. ticko takes a fee from both the buyer and seller side of a resale sale, disclosed before you confirm the listing or purchase. We reserve the right to remove listings that violate these terms or look like an attempt to circumvent the price cap.

Wallet

Proceeds from a resale sale are credited to your in-app wallet balance, which you can use toward future purchases or withdraw to a bank account or mobile money number you provide. Withdrawals are processed through Flutterwave and may take a few business days.

Prohibited conduct

• Using automated tools (bots) to buy tickets faster than a real person could.
• Creating multiple accounts to get around per-account ticket limits.
• Reselling above the price cap, on or off the platform, using a ticket bought through ticko.
• Attempting to forge, duplicate, or tamper with a ticket's verification code.

We may suspend or close an account that violates these terms.

Liability

ticko facilitates ticket sales but isn't the organizer of any event listed on the platform. We aren't responsible for the quality, safety, or actual occurrence of an event beyond our cancellation-refund commitment above.
